Maintenance Manager. Based in Northwood, Middlesex my client has a new requirement for an Maintenance Manager. Please note this role working days: mostly Tuesday to Saturday with occasional rota patterns including Monday – Friday – 8.30am to 5.30pm!
You must have/be:
- Proficiency in general maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform manual labour for extended periods
Role involves:
General Maintenance:
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting.
- Report repairs cosmetic or structural which will need to be outsourced.
- Conduct routine checks and repairs of the facility's infrastructure, including doors, windows, floors, and fixtures.
- Ensure that emergency systems, such as fire alarms and emergency lighting, are operational.
Repairs and Upkeep:
- Address and resolve maintenance requests and issues promptly, prioritizing safety and minimizing disruption.
- Conduct carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs as needed.
- Coordinating with Grounds Team to support with their requirements
Preventative Maintenance:
- Develop and follow a preventative maintenance schedule to extend the life of equipment and reduce unexpected breakdowns.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper storage of hazardous materials and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist in emergency preparedness planning and drills.
