IT Service Desk Support. My client based in Gravesend, Kent my client are looking for a IT Service Desk Support person for an initial 4 weeks contract. This role is inside IR35 and is 100% office based (offers no WFH). Rate is £20ph-£24ph with working hours of 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday!
You must have:
- Hands-on experience of using a help desk system /service desk.
- Good problem-solving and time management skills.
- Proven technical background with an ability to communicate and give instructions to a non-technical audience.
- Excellent customer-service focus.
- Problem-solving attitude.
- Good written and verbal communications skills.
- Knowledge and experience of supporting a broad range of IT infrastructure including computers, mobile devices and telephone systems.
Role involves:
- Provide service desk support to the department’s customers across all infrastructure and systems.
- Take support calls from customers, record and update problems in the service desk system.
- Diagnose and resolve problems in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitor progress of problems and provide feedback to customers. Advise the Service Delivery Manager when there is a significant backlog of support requests or when issues require further escalation.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge/familiarity of relevant products, systems and infrastructure in use within the PLA.
- Install, monitor, maintain and administer equipment and services relating to the infrastructure including servers, backups and associated network/telecommunications infrastructure.
